Calling all Horse Lovers!

Help us keep our ranch moving by lending your love of the outdoors and horses! We need help taking care of our horses on a regular weekly basis.

Duties may include: grooming, feeding, cleaning tack, changing water troughs and mucking the paddocks.

Medicine Horse Ranch is both a retirement home for horses and a learning center for Equine Guided Education. Medicine Horse Ranch is located in West Marin on the Thornton Dairy, a 1000 acre fifth generation working cattle and sheep ranch.

We have our volunteers at the ranch every Friday from 11:00 am- 4:00 pm, occasional weekends and mid week scheduling available seasonally. We require a 6 month commitment to be considered as a volunteer.

Staff discounts available for merchandise and Equine Guided Education classes after 30 days of service.

Requirements include: Prior experience with horses preferred but not mandatory, ability to lift at least 25 lbs, sturdy shoes and a positive attitude. Ability to work at least one day at the ranch at least two-three times a month. Volunteer training is provided as needed!
