Director: Alyssa Aubrey, CEGE, is a certified
Equine-Guided Educator and co-founder of the Equine Guided
Education Association. She is the Founder and Program Director
of Medicine Horse Ranch, an experiential learning center incorporating
horses in human self-development.
Ms. Aubrey is an expert horsewoman known nationally
and internationally for her partnering of horses for transformational
human learning.

Equine Guided Experiential Learning programs as a way to model
tangible, timely and sustainable change in the world. Her
clients range from teenagers to young adults, men, women,
working professionals and retired persons; arriving from all
walks and way stations of life.
Alyssa’s coaching expertise, strategic
partnerships and extensive network of collaborative resources
powerfully directs and impacts her clients. The dynamic combination
of equine guide and human facilitator provides a safe non-judgmental
environment to develop refreshing insights, new strategies
and effective practices needed for today’s challenging,
often confusing and complex scenarios.
Since 2002, Aubrey has personally coached over
2,500 adults, teens and business leaders. She is a seasoned
coach, compassionate and tenacious. Self employed for 33 years,
Alyssa brings decades of rigorous business experience to the
table. Her entrepreneurial spirit invites others to engage
life ‘on purpose’ and inspires a deeply connected
reach towards authentic expression and contribution. Alyssa
considers her EGL program horses to be partners, healers,
teachers and guides in this powerful, cutting edge process
leading people to greater self-awareness and personal growth.
Alyssa’s teen clientele includes groups
from; The Buckelew Foundation, The Novato Youth Center (pregnancy
prevention program), NYC Girls Circle, The Braun School, Oakland
Catalyst Program, CASA/Guardian Ad Litem, Family Service Agency,
Home Away from Homelessness, Alta Mira Recovery Center, Girl
Scouts of America and the Circle of Sisters (after school
violence prevention program).
Public EGL program participants include men,
women and teams from; Lotus Management Company, Alta Mira
Recovery Center, Wells Fargo, Marin Curiosity Club, Kaiser,
Easter Seals, Boy Scouts of America, Women Building Business
and The United Way.
Alyssa has also worked with hundred of clients
referred by therapists, coaches, numerous self-development
and spiritually based programs, leadership organizations,
schools and groups.
Alyssa serves as Treasurer on the Board of
Directors for the Novato Horsemen Inc and NHI co-chairperson
for Halleck Creek therapeutic riding program.She was recently
acknowledged by the MWHF, The Center of Excellence in the
Marin IJ as “A Women to Watch.”
Alyssa co-produced the Marin Women’s
Hall of Fame event, titled "100 Women + 100 Girls = Endless
Possibilities". This was the first attempt to pair accomplished
women who are part of the Marin Women's Hall of Fame with
high school teens and impart their knowledge and wisdom to
a younger generation in a workshop setting.
She has been a guest on Good Morning
Sacramento and is featured in the Jan/Feb 2011 issue of March
Magazine. Alyssa was recently featured in the SF examiner
in "An Unusual Martial Artist Making a Difference."
Aubrey is a member of the Center for Non-Profit
Leadership, WAAT, NAWBO, Connections Women’s Group,
The Biz Diva’s, and currently serves on the Advisory
Board for Marin Women's Hall of Fame. .
After attending Ohio University, Athens Ohio
she finished her postgraduate training from Writtle College
(U.K.) in Horse Behavior and Psychology, Barn and Stable Management,
Equine Feeding and Nutrition and Equitation.
Alyssa is a Certified Equine Guided Educator
through Strozzi Ranch in Valley Ford, CA.
She is currently immersed in a writing collaboration
with author Catherine Ann Held, PhD. The book explores fascinating
parallels and synchronicity in the historic relationship between
horses and women up to and including present day phenomena.
The book is scheduled for publication in 2011.
In addition to teaching Equine Guided Learning
Programs, Alyssa manages a retirement home for horses at Medicine
Horse Ranch. |
